Essen 2024 Note 1

The Essen game fair is happening now. I've just survived Day 1 and will be heading to the fair soon for Day 2. No time to talk much. So here are some quick notes.

Do you feel the zombie movie vibes? Jeff and I managed to get in slightly early, and could take this show-off shot. We didn't stay to watch the crowd pour in. We went to our respective appointments.

A two-player cooperative game in which you wear different glasses (blue tinted and red tinted) and your partner and you will each to blind to one colour. You need to guide each other to win.

I love this artwork. A game from Japan called Master of Rules. Pretty clever game, best played with five players.

Salt and pepper shakers

There were several retailers selling both second-hand and new games.

Asmodee had a huge play area.

I tried Next Station Paris, the third game in the series

Cute components

LUMA and Choon Ean from Malaysia in action

A game based on the George Orwell book 1984. Great artwork!

A deluxe version of Reiner Knizia's classic - Modern Art
