Hi! I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. I read your post about Pandemic and I've also done a lot of research about the game. I really want to play it, but I can't find it in Jakarta. Can you please tell me where you bought it? I'm going to Kuala Lumpur in June. Maybe I can buy the game there, but I don't know what store sells it. Thanks!
Hi Timothy, my friend CK Au runs an online store - boardgamecafe.net, so I recommend that. I believe he should have it in stock. Other online stores based in Malaysia include meeples.com.my, and toybox.com.my. Search for them on Google and check the availability at their sites.
I bought my copy of Pandemic from a friend. I don't remember where he got it.
Thanks for the quick reply! I visited boardfamecafe.net and meeples.com.my. toybox.com.my seems to be broken though. boardgamecafe.net has the first edition in stock, whilst meeples.com.my has the second edition in stock. Thanks for the information, now I can buy Pandemic! They're both quite expensive though, I should start begging my parents to buy it LOL.
Hi Timothy, I just want to inform you that there is boardgame community in Jakarta. you can play with us if you're interested in boardgame. Some of us are also seller so you can buy Pandemic if you want it. just check our site: www.indoboardgames.web.id
@hiew: sorry for talking about indonesian boardgame community in your blog. fyi, I'm not a seller, I just want to help.
Never mind, I asked my aunt to buy Pandemic in Kuala Lumpur. Do you think I should buy Elder Sign as well? I like the artwork and stories but I'm a bit disappointed about the dice-rolling system. You should write a review of Elder Sign!
@Timothy, If you think Pandemic is a little expensive, and want something similar, check out Forbidden Island.
It's by the same designer and share similar mechanics between the two games (same # of actions, roles, the disaster effect works the same way as pandemic, same variation of difficulty).
Majority of those who enjoyed playing pandemic, enjoy playing forbidden island too.
On the plus side, it has modular board, plays quicker (not so much), comes in a smaller box and also comes in a tin box. You also get cool looking plastic artifacts in the game.
Best of all, it's half the price of Pandemic. Check it out!
Sorry for the late reply. Yesterday, my aunt bought Pandemic (2013 edition) in Boardgame Depot, in Bangsar. She bought it for 135 RM. The shop assistant couldn't find Elder Sign though. I've seen Forbidden Island. It's very similiar to Pandemic, but I prefer Pandemic for it's in-depth gameplay and more complex rules. It requires more teamwork too. I'm going to buy Elder Sign once I arrive in Kuala Lumpur. Thanks for your help guys :).

Hi Danu, no worries! I'm happy to have become a bridge to get you guys in touch.
Wow, thanks a lot you two! Finally I can get Pandemic! I'm still worried about the misprinted boards though. I hope I don't get any one of them.
I couldn't find Pandemic on www.indoboardgames.web.id. Plus, the site only sells 17 board games.
@timothy: the site is not an online boardgame store, it's a place to gather indonesian boardgame community.
If all you want is just owning Pandemic, just mention it in general info & discussion section. I'm sure you will get answer within minutes.
If you also interested in joining the community, you can introduce yourself and ask our reguler meet up schedule
Ok

I have not played Elder Sign before I'm afraid. :-)
