I often make rule summaries for games that I own or games that I want to play. It is a form of taking notes when I read game rules. It helps me get a grasp of the rules while reading, and when I sit down to play a game, the reference sheet also helps as a reminder. I use these reference sheets to teach games too. I always try to keep the rules to one A4 page, preferably even just half a page.
Over the years I have accumulated quite a number of reference sheets. I upload them to www.boardgamegeek.com once in a while, in batches. I want to make it available here at my blog too. This post will be where I keep the latest version of my reference sheets.
Download latest version here.
If you come across any error please drop a comment in this post, or send a message to my BoardGameGeek mailbox. My username is hecose.
List of games (currently 300+) can be found here.

Drat, was looking for 'Tigris and Eurphrates'. Although the official summary looks pretty good.
yup, the summary that comes with the game is quite good. the inside of the player shields also have good reference info.
Hiew, have you considered putting these up as a GitHub repository and letting people fork and submit pull requests? If the idea interests you, I can assist :)
Thanks Stephen. I have not heard of GitHub before. I just checked out their website to learn more.
At the moment I don't plan to switch to a collaborative mode in maintaining the ref sheets, mainly because I want to keep them in the current format and level of detail that I'm comfortable with. If anyone contacts me I'd happily share the original Powerpoint file and let him do whatever he wants, e.g. modifying the format, adding more details, removing details, basically fine-tuning the ref sheets to his own preference. (I'm not sure whether my PDF format file is editable)
What I would really appreciate is fellow gamers letting me know if they spot errors. For this I'm happy to use my BGG mail and the comments feature at this blog.
Anyhow, I thank you for the offer. I learned something new today. :-)
Came across an error in Chicago Express. Apparently there's a translation error in the English edition saying "If two dials at red, do dividend phase before player action", however player action happens first and once that is done, then the dividend phase.
More info at: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/740091/this-joke-isnt-funny-anymore
Thanks for pointing this out. I'll look into this and get it fixed soon.
Another thread regarding the Chicago Express issue I just posted about:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/367406/dividend-phase-pays-before-the-player-takes-his-ac
Seems some people say it does go dividened then action while others say it's poorly worded and wabash cannonball (the predecessor to CE) had the dividend phase go after the player action
I have read both threads. I have made the correction and submitted it to BGG. I'll include this correction to the master file the next time I update the master file. Thanks again for forwarding to me the links.
